Interviews: We interviewed Vynzell, Juan, and Mouhamed
Vynzell: Depression can lead to very bad things, such as suicide, school shooting, distance from family members etc. my mom had depression and it didn’t really effect me it just effected my mom. she wasn’t able to do things on her own. If I saw someone with depression I’d try to get help for them.
Juan: I think depression is Painful. It’s a real problem especially in high school. It’s cause by school. I know my brother has depression. It makes me worry for people, and him a lot more. If I saw someone with depression I would try to help them as much as possible. When it gets out of hand I’d get better help.
Mouhamed: I think that depression is more common among high schoolers/teenagers. Some cases of depression lead to thoughts of suicide. I don’t think I know anyone who has depression. I would try to help them by trying to get them to go to therapy and other good methods such as finding that stresses them out the least.
Observations:
- People with depression are quiet.
- People with depression wear black.
- People with depression are anti-social
Summary: People with depression tend to be lone wolfs or try to hide themselves from the outside world. They like to be alone and not be bothered by people. When you ask them how their days are they might lie to you to make it seem like everything is okay, they only do this because they might not want to worry you about their problem. They tend to keep their head down in the halls to draw less attention.
